An Royal Encounter

Balatonfüred was a paradise for Sir Ducky and his fans.
On arrival; a fleet of Hungarian Ducks greeted us with an impressive parade

And at the hotel, the “Danubis” were also present to welcome us

This all was organised by our friends Martha & Istvan who told us that Hungary was really honoured by the visit of the descended of their world-famous poet who lived, years ago, in the caves of the Turil (see Budapest).

When visiting the splendid porcelain factory,

Sir Ducky was welcomed by “ASLAN”, The-True- and-Magnificent-Lion-King, Son of the Emperor-beyond-the-Sea, ….

…. and loved by all of us

At Bécsvárad, the Benedictine Abbot invited some of Ducky’s female escort on his diner table. A happening that has never been recorded before.

In the evening, at the Royal Banquet, the best of the Hungarian wine was served

(Some newspapers have reported that some of us… looked deep into the glass)

The Ducky Family was gently handed over to the Keeper 2018, and accepted it with pleasure.

An unique book, called:

The Secret Book of Secrets

was offered to Istvan as thanks for his hard work

The evenig ended under loud applaus .

2015 – The WORMHOLE

The WORMHOLE

It can’t be denied that Ducky has done his best in Rottweil.

He put the whole village under flowers to call us “welcome”.

For our safety, he had some strong but kind dogs placed on our passage. This was, as shown, much appreciated.

He took us into the “Black Forest” with its beautiful panoramas which we all enjoyed very much

But the crown jewel, was his latest discovery: A “Wormhole” reaching into the far-past-history of the town.

He also invented a special engine to go into the “Wormhole”. But because this marvelous machinery was not tested yet, and dinner was waiting for us, no one dared to use it.

At the end of the happening, Wimpkje was honored with the precious medal of “Knight of the Red Duck”.

And as the day started with flowers, with flowers ended our 17^th reunion.

2014 – A difficult mission

A difficult mission

It was a difficult time for Ducky in Belgium. Although he was welcomed with the honors for a king, he was aware that hard times were ahead..

He had to fulfill the pipe-mandate which he received in Odense.

The mandate

To understand the relationship between the pipe and social life, he visited several pipe museums. The Indian peace pipe got his full attention and this motivated him to do the job right from the beginning.

He told his lovely wife: I am going for a pipe. It’s a tough decision, so I may be gone for a few weeks”

Although we know that he piped up at the European commission,where he was…. piped down.
